Objecting to a toll or charge
You are required by law to pay the toll (and any applicable charges) when you use a toll road (see NSW Roads Regulation 2018).
If there’s a toll or charge you believe you were not legally responsible for, or was for the wrong amount, you should:
- Let us know in writing within 60 days of the toll or charge being incurred. (If your objection relates to information in a quarterly toll statement we will consider it within a month of you receiving your statement).
- Include the specific reason you believe you were not legally responsible for the toll or charge, or that the amount was wrong.
We'll get back to you in writing with a decision within 14 days.
If you object to the decision you’ll be able to ask for it to be reviewed up to 14 days after we get back to you.
